I am preparing to upload models to the 3D warehouse. Before I upload, I want to fill in the author section of my model. I got a prompt to sign in to my Google account. I do have an account and attempted to sign in via SketchUp. That attempt failed and the error message said to sign in from a web browser. I was able to sign in from my web browser but when back in SketchUp, I still could not author the model. SketchUp does not show me as signed in.

Any ideas as to what might be going on.
    Thanks,
    Tim ๐Ÿ˜„

      Hi Tim,

Normally you don't need to claim credits because it is automatically generated when you upload to the Warehouse. Can you upload your model at all? It seems that if SU cannot connect to the internet when you want to claim credit, it wouldn't be able to connect when you want to upload either.

As for SU connection to the internet, check your internet settings (allow SU to connect) as well as your firewall settings and if you have any 3rd party app (like Norton or such) that may prevent SU from connecting.

I can get models from the warehouse but can not share models. Again it seems because SU is not connected to the internet as far as my account. I will look into the SU connection.

        Thanks

Getting models is okay because you don't need to be signed in from SU to do that (but at least it shows that SU can access the internet though just "passively" - i.e. from there to SU).

            Hi Tim

I note you are using a Mac. I am having the same trouble, login OK through web browser, and can download etc. but unable to upload as SU does not make the connection.

I think this is a Mac specific problem, and I too would like to see it fixed if anybody has any ideas.

My problem has been resolved. I believe it was a proxy issue with our servers. I was always able to download models via access to the warehouse by SketchUp. I wasn't able to upload models. All is well now. ๐Ÿ˜„
