Ouch. That must hurt. Well, at least with the forum, there are some people here who may know what it is like. You can always start rebuilding a community however (here is SCF as an example) but if the application itself is put to an end, there might be no reason.
I really feel sorry for you guys and yes, indeed, this is exactly the case (and time) when a developer should make the abandoned app. open source and available for anyone interested in developing further.

Never mind. Whoever has at least once visited the KT Forums, will know who Rafa is.

He-he, thanks!
I still be using True Space, and yes, it hurts.
But for your bad luck, maybe you will have to adopt me here! -

There's still a little room left here so any time you wish.

I think SU is fairly safe at the moment (touch wood) because it is such an integral part of google earth.
Fingers crossed that if they do ever stop developing SU they'll open source it, though. Would be a great shame for such a magnificent piece of software to be abandoned when there are so many people whod love to get their hands dirty.
-
Sometimes I think that companies like MS, and AutoCad buy technology for their own produces, then keep the purchased ones around for a while, eventually shelving them.
-
It's a scary thought, but what happens to Sketchup when Google decides to cut costs? Can we really be sure that the software, or at the very least the development investment may not be affected by the downturn?
-
What? Didn't they just buy TS? And they already shut it down?

Man if you are good at truespace you must be a wizz kid at SU. Truespace was my first 3d app 25 years ago. I could built my whole truespace lifes work with SU in about two days.
Amen to that. I remember Caligari when first introduced on the Amiga -- way back when.
