StyleBuilder Other option?
-
In StyleBuilder's reference guide, page 38, ther's the following paragraph that talks about Lengths options in the Sets Pane:
"Lengths
Click on the plus button next to the Lengths field to display a list of common stroke set sizes.
Select a stroke length to add to the style, %(#FF0000)[or click on the Other option and enter a custom
stroke length]."
I am very interested in the second part of that text (that highlighted in red) because, reading the text, seems possible to add custom lenghts strokes to the Set Pane. But in StyleBuilder I haven't found jet an option like that. Is that a mistake? Or did I not understood properly?
Could anybody help me? -
I think there was a change made to Style Builder after that section of the Help file was made. I managed to make a template with some "custom" line lengths once. The problem is that SketchUp doesn't like those custom lengths and the resulting style doesn't work right. I was told that they locked out the ability to make custom lengths due to that problem.

That is really a pity, because, for instance, a dashed dotted linestyle is stretched when the lenght of the lines wich is applied in Sketchup get over 1024 pxl with the result that the dots and the spaces are really irregular.
I know that Stylebuilder was created with the aim to give to the users configurable hand drawn sketchy styles, but according to me could even become a good sw to create technical linestyles...
But apparently that is not possible -
WE could hope that they change it so that more line lengths including custom ones are possible. I'd like the option to have some shorter line lengths than are currently available.
