      Hi everyone,

Is there a way to create (maybe with a plugin πŸ˜’ ) a expended metal mesh?
I'm pretty sure that's not possible, but you never know…

Thank you in advance for any help.

For something like this, I would use a PNG image of themesh with the white areas made transparent. If you do this with geometry you are likely to end up with a huge file.

You could also make a component of a very small portion of the mesh and copy that component to make an array. A material would be much faster and easier to use in multiple models.

You're probably better off going with the material, but it's an interesting thing to model just for fun...

Real life is just another website, albeit a rather boring one.

Yeah, this is definitely THE example when you'd better go with the material. Even in PR rendering apps (with the proper bump and clipmaps of course)
