Nimis

This weekend me and my wife went to see Nimis, a huge sculpture made out of 75 tons of driftwood and 160 000 nails by the artist Lars Vilks in the 1980's at a remote place by the Swedish coast. You could walk inside it and climb it. Here are some pictures of it.

Actually, if SU had HI POLY Support . . . .????
Anyway it looks like a leftover set from the moview "The Flintstones go to WaterWorld"

Yes...definitely got a post-apocalyptic look about it, crossed with one of those Pentecost Island land-diving towers.
And it would make a GREAT bonfire.

Actually its much more robust than it looks. 160.000 nails remember...
I climbed inside some of them. -
Speaking of that land-diving thing. . .I used to watch those guys on National Geographic as a kid. I never could figure out how they didnt pull their legs out of their sockets doing that . .or impale themselves against the tower. Third World Bungee Diving. Insane. . . But I remember hearing that those guys really stoked themselves on Peyote and Red Bull
