Is there a free text editor for Mac that can highlight Ruby syntax similar to Notepad++ for PC?

There was some discussion about this today in this thread:

        people listed:

        TextMate
        Smultron
xCode - might be included on the Mac. Recommended by RickW

Hope that helps. Did you get a Mac to test on?

        Chris

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Xcode is great, and should be included on your mac πŸ‘
You can find it in Macintosh HD, developer, applications.
I just started using it yesterday though πŸ˜† . there are a lot of neat programs you can find in developer> applications, like core image funhouse (which has a LOT of useful filters and effects), and if most people are like me, they probably never notice them.
The bar on the left seems to get darker the farther the code is branched. (that's what it's called, right?)

Another useful app in this category is "TextWrangler"http://www.barebones.com/products/TextWrangler/
But "xCode" is hard to beat as it is made for the job and comes with every new Mac.
