Was wondering

hey i was wondering if anyone could make a 1970 GMC pickup in sketchup? i've tried so many times and fail at it...i want one made cuz i own one,
heres the pic:
idk if u can even make requests here, but it would be so greatly appreciated if this could be done. -
Modelling cars is hard work, so i wouldnt necessarily get your hopes up
Regarding modelling it yourself, having some blueprints would help a lot, especially for getting the initial shape right.

hmm i see well maybe i can try with blue prints? where could i get some for this pickup?
-
Good question. they can be pretty hard to get hold of, i thnk your best bet would be google or perhaps a few PMs to some of the car modellers here (rogue and ely286me would be good people to ask).

k man thanks ill have to see what comes up.

If you own one then you should just go out and take lots of photographs of it and use them.
These aren't your model pickup, but maybe download them to pick up some pics as well:

Or buy one of them small modelkits. I've found them to be helpful some times as both the drawings that comes with them are good references but being able to hold the shape in your hand gives you an impression of the object which you don't get with photos.

Tons of car blueprints here:

Judging by the flashing ad, this site seems to be related to http://www.cgtextures.com
