Finding High definition pictures.
-
Hello all,
Just a more general question, hope its in the right forum.
I would like to model a part of the city Rotterdam (Netherlands).
I prefer to use some high definition pictures for that, so that I can zoom in without loosing detail. How do people go about doing this, do they stitch pictures taken from google earth together? Or can someone suggest an alternative? I did many searches but the only thing I found was Google Earth Pro (β¬400,00).Thanks in advance, Robert

I think Google Earth images are not technically licensed for professional use. So if this professional work, I would not recommend that. Though G.E. Pro might be a different story.
I have used online sites that supply aerial images for a fee. I don't remember what sites right now, and I'm pretty sure they were US only. But search around, I'm sure there should be some good sites that sell high res aerials of the netherlands.

300,000+ rotterdam images found here:
watch out though.. only about .5% are going to help you out so you might get bored very quickly.
