Screen goes white when I save

Been dealing with this for awhile because it doesn't really hurt anything but I'm wondering if it's normal or if it's a driver issue. When I save a good sized model 30+ Mb the screen will go white while it saves. After it's done it goes back to normal.

That sounds pretty much the same like what happens with ruby's that do allot of work. It comes back to that when SU uses many CPU cycles the UI doesn't refresh.

I have similar problem when I select...
and I have to click on the screen to "wake it up" and I lose the selection of the item.
any thing I am doing wrong?

redSounds like a graphic card driver issue? Does it occur if you turn of hardware acceleration in Preferences? If it does, the driver is your problem and you need an update.

turned that off a while ago,
any other options or actions to do,
I am considering a whole new install of SU,
might that fix it?
