Hi Susan. Are you saying that after you make a copy of a group using move+ctrl, that the "x" key no longer works? What does it normally do on your computer? On mine, I have it set to "explode". It can be set to different things on different computers. Or am I misunderstanding entirely?

        Chris

maybe this could be split out as a separate thread?

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

          Done...

@Susan; are you trying to make a "Linear array" by any chance? I.e. are you trying to copy a group and then paste it X times along a direction for instance?

I type "*5" using the numeric keys on the keyboard when I do multiple or divide copy.

btw, when you use "x". do you type "x5" or "5x"? when using the "x" isntead if * you have to type the "x" last.

It should work both ways: before andafter.

I thought it was the same as when you use the Arc or Circle tool. If you type "5s" you change the circle or arc to 5 segments, but if you try "s5" you activate the Scale tool (provided it uses the default S key as hotkey)

Just checked, I have X assigned to toggle X-Ray mode. If I type "x5" I activate the X shortcut and it cancels the copy operation.

well, maybe that triggers it. I don't have mere x assigned to any tools.
