I am working on a model that has a lot of different street sections in it. Once I add a new section and isolate that section with a layer name that layer is added to ALL of my scenes. Is there a way to remove one layer from multiple scenes at once?

      Thanks!

        Hi OY,

Better to create a layer that is hidden on each existing and future layers (and only turn it on where needed) than deleting (more exactly turning off) in each scene. Here is a nifty plugin for that.

I'm afraid that won't give me the control over the information that I need.

If I end up having LOTS of hidden groups in one layer how can i unhide just one or the other? I suppose maybe the outliner would help with that if i named my groups - I'm used to creating a section, copying it up, creating a layer and naming it what the scene will be called and then putting that group on that layer giving me the ability in scene 1 Street A Before to have that layer on and then in Scene 2 Street A After to have that layer on - then when i go to create the next street I can just copy and create a new group and modify it - now that group/layer will show up in every scene created PRIOR to that point which is the issue.

how does hiding groups instead of layering help with that?

          Thanks!

It doesn't add hidden groups but a hidden layer. Here is the script and try it out.

Yeah, by what you wrote, you should adjust your workflow a bit but I think it could be of much help and use.
