      Is there any way to do this? I heard it has something to do with the push/pull feature. I even tried using the cut-out option for compoenents, but it still doesn't work.

        It sounds like you have a Z-fighting problem. Meaning there are two faces occupying the same space. If this is the case you need to "cut out" the offending hatch.

        Do you have an image or could you upload the skp for us to look at?
