      This is a little late, but an email I sent to Art today got returned and I just learned that Art is no longer with us. He was "astrat" here on the SCF.

      Arthur "Art" James Stratemeyer, 60, of Raleigh, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008. He was born in Little Falls, NY on May 7, 1947, the son of the late Betty and Robert Stratemeyer. He married Elizabeth, "Betsy" Chambers his wife of 39 years on August 16, 1969. He was a long time member of Christ Episcopal Church.

      Mr. Stratemeyer attended North Carolina State University. He served in the military for eight years. He was managing partner of Montgomery Marketing Inc. for 15 years and later founded Fine Woodworkers and Wine Cellars Software. He earned national recognition for his design and manufacture of custom wine cellars and for his wine software management website.
      He was a wine connoisseur and collector and an avid competitive tennis player. His family and friends were most important to him and he will be remembered by them for his wonderful sense of humor and thoughtfulness.
      A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Christ Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Christ Church Memorial Garden.

      Memorial gifts may be made to Wake Relief, c/o Christ Episcopal Church, 120 E. Edenton Street, Raleigh, N.C. 27602, Hospice of Wake County, The American Heart Association or a charity of one's choice.
      Arrangements by Browne Wynne Funeral Home, St. Mary's Street, 828-4311.
