amazing. Looks like a photo. I was suprised to hear it was kerk. I would have thought fryrender or maxwell. Care to explain the brushed metal material?

I don't remember the exact attributes of the material being done so long ago, but it was probably something like this:

                      http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u173/Jon_Westwood/metal.png

This is just an anisotropic shader with a 'diffuse' white specular setting and shininess at 15 with spec stamping on. Also, I used this bump map to get the 'brushed' look, but now that I think about it, it would probably be better to assign it as a specular or shininess map. πŸ˜„

                      Thanks. πŸ˜„

first I thought: "wow, really detailed modelling. and how close you got the perspective of your images to the reference pictures..." it took me several seconds to realize... 😲

as i was scrolling down, looking at the pictures of the model, i was thinking: "this would make an awsome render" and then..... it was πŸ˜‰ well done

haha....i just did the same thing.. great job.
