What is the resolution output to pdf in LO2 is? Is it higher than the 300pdi in the previous version? I've been reading the Google documents and haven't seen it.

        Hi Hank,

Well,in the Document setup > Paper, you can set the output to low, medium or high. I would also wonder what these settings exactly are regarding dpi or ppi settings.

When I send the document to print, there it can be adjusted on my machine.

Hi Gai! You have to be super busy....hanks for a reply.
So I download SU7, and load a current project, I want to pdf it to see if I can read the SU text. The text is a little bit better at High Resolution than layout Beta, but I dont think I can collect money for it...
I found the print selections, and tried them out. I like my resolutions and dpis high all the time, so when I have to select High, and the test that is 2'-0" tall SU text on sheets is still chunky, I started trying to reinsert all LO text instead. Kills the keep your text live concept.

I am seeing a few issues like:

          1. when I print to pdf, some components dont show up in the pdf.
          2. The SU area of the LO sheet has a purple tint to it, even though the background is selected to be white, and this combines with missing components
          3. I used a default LO 24x36 sheet and inserted my SU file, The LO sheet will pdf but the contents dont (it's blank).

i can navigate layout beta pretty well, though I will admit I had to revert to ACAD to actually publish anything. I'm seeing there are some changes in LO2 that will need to be learned, (like where did the right click UPDATE Command go?) I found Update Reference selection; but it doesnt do anything, and going back to the setup? menu to update is cumbersome, and actually forcing the issue causes Bugsplats...

Anyway , I see LO2 is better, and after trialing it for about 2 hours I am just wondering...Does it work?

          Hank

            Hi Hank,

I actually do not have any problems that you mention with it. Can you post the problematic LO file?

There is a right click > update reference on my copy.
Also, you can use the auto update function in the tray > Su model (provided that you open the file from SU by right click> open w/ su)

            Gai...

If you save to PDF your Layout generated objects and text should remain vectors, as well as any SketchUp viewports that are set to vector or hybrid.

If you open this up in program like Adobe Illustrator you can do a lot of manipulation of the linework. You can even open in Illustrator and export back to dwg file at correct scale.
