      I posted this in the gallery section but thought it might of interest here too.

      Question for maxwell users. Does any know how to put a texture nicely over a rounded edge.

        • assign the material to your geometry on face level
        • turn on hidden lines
        • pick up the mat from one face with the pipette and assign it to the neighbouring face - redo this for all faces of the curve one by one...

        another (faster) solution for curved faces with not much difference on the face normals (<~45Β°) is to

        • assign the material to one face (hidden lines on)
        • then set the texture mode for this face to "projected"
        • select all faces of the curve
        • pick up the material from the projected face and assign it all selected
