Ruby - PushPull to map size or proportion?
-
Just wondering if a script / function of the pushpull tool could be enabled or set limit the length of a push/pull action to that of the objects map size or a set proportion of it (= to the number of ie: brick repeats of the texture)?
This would be handy to model in material units!
Anyone? Just throwing the idea!

well, this idea could go hand in hand with the much requested control over inference modes.
you open the inference dialog, and check/uncheck the options you want:
- standard inference (endpoints, mitpoints, on-line, parralel...)
- material inference (snapping to tiled textures)
- predefined raster (you can change that already, but with the new dialog it is easier to access)
I think, this is something to be implemented directly by Google rather than with a plugin...

It should / could be built-in. You could make a tool that pushpulls to preset increments... See my RandomPushPull that has steps built in if desired...

Well I won't be holding my breath!

PushPull does use the Unit Snapping length, if it is set and so it will snap to the distance set there.
