Need help with organic shapes
-
Salute SCF-ers!
I'm so glad to have found this community, the forums have been of so much value. With that said...
I need some help, either finding the right discussions or just a quick walkthrough of how to make organic shapes, or otherwise not normal shapes. I need to create things like:
-big, pillowy boulders
-tweaked wood beams
-dented objectsI work for a themed environment company and have been benefiting from using SU, but now I need to create more "toony" objects, ie stuff in Disney's Toon Town.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ryan, Wellcome to the community.
The subdivide and smooth plugin is what you need.
Have a look here:

I'm on it Mateo. Thank you.
Any good tutorials for using the tool? I saw the two videos on Smustard.com.

another great tool to deform and twist shapes is the FFD tool (Free Form Deformator)
easy to use and with great results. only make sure, that your faces are subdivided enough before you use it.
(I used it to make the shack in this image more skew)
