SU export to Kerky -> no textures / bitmaps
-
Hey guys,
I need your help!
Formatted my computer yesterday. (Much faster now!)Installed SketchUP, Kerky and SU2KT3_0.
(Installed SU2KT3_0 in the Sketchup main folder)When I'm trying to export a model to Kerky it gives me an error:
"Tho following bitmaps are missing....
and referring to the TX_ map. When I check the TX_ map there are no jpg files ???
Did I make a mistake?
Regards, Ward

Edit:
Even regular SketchUp materials don't export to Kerky, like bricks for example.HELP!

-
are you using the latest KT patch?
-
Yep, cleaned my computer yesterday...
Latest versions of SketchUp, Kerkythea and the SU2Kt exporter.
-
Eduardo,
By any chance,is there non-English characters
- in your material names
- in any of the folder names involved during the export
- anywhere in the path you are exporting to/from or keep your materials?
-
Here are some screenshots.
Can you help me out?

-
you know you can be, maybe the textures are on the blue side of the model of SketchUp, that's why no charges, certain is that, I hope to help you, greetings

So under My Documents\Sketchup is there a folder named TX_1 and are the three image files in there?
Or that back face problem mabye (although AFAIK the latest exporter can do that, too).

hi Gaieus!
the problem was already resolved in the kerky forum, you can check it here

Yes, you can close this one. Thanks.
Turned out to be a video card driver issue... I think.
I installed ASUS drivers for my ATI card instead of using shitty ATI Cataclyst drivers.
Problem solved

Great to see you found a fix Ward, now can you please explain to an old man who is definitely not computer savy what is involved in installing a new driver as I have exactly the same problem as you had. I had no problem with SU textures but whenever I tried to use a .jpeg as a texture I got the same message in KT, it was very frustrating and I've been scratching my head for months about what the hell I was doing wrong. Until now I have seen nothing that explained it. Thank you for providing a bit of light on the subject. Now if you could just take me by the hand and lead me through the 'fix it process' I'll be a very happy chappy.
Cheers from the deep south where summer is just around the corner.
