Hey guys... First post in this forum!

All renderings done in a combination of SketchUp, Maxwell render, and Photoshop

They are in order of new to old
EDIT - hmmmm... for some reason (I guess size) some of my renderings only show half way πŸ˜•

Hi Leonardo...WOW ! It's a pleasure to see your work, but I don't think that the title of you post it's suitable for those beautiful images that you shared with us! It seems to my that you are very professional, and not a newbie at all. And when I thinking that I thought that vray it's the best rendering engine... πŸ˜„
        Congratulation!

But, yeah... After seeing some of the work in this forum, I would say I'm a newbie πŸ’š

          with regards, V-ray...

Last time I check Vray didn't have something like "maxwell studio" which is incredible helpful when it come to add high-poly trees and nature.

You use the SU plug in to bring that action into the render world, or out put as OBJ the Jack?

                        EBE,

                        Yeah, so I see...

Your Jack bird renderings are the bomb of kabloomy.

What are you doing with your SU models when you fire them over the line into Maxwell?

Using the SketchUp plug in, or exporting from SU as OBJ's and then into Max?

Have you encountered issues about map placement?

Are you part of the attacking LBUG? (Lava Brain Users Group)...

Are you in contact with the grays?

Forget the last pair of Q's and bring the Max info if you would be so kind.

The latest Sketchup plugin works "perfect" for me (with a few exceptions ) <- you'll need to register

                          No,

I did however, in previous maxwell plugin releases found funky black triangles ... I haven't encounter any of those yet. In those cases, I would erase that object and re-import it... until It solved the problem. Sometimes, I would change the geometry a little (subdivide it) and re import it.

I use Sketchup V 5 (for some reason, I feel that Sketchup V5 runs faster than V6... but it could be all in my head )... have you try using V5 to see if it solves the problem?

I have plenty of grays after studying for the ARE (Architectural Registration Exams), but I don't think that's what you're asking πŸ˜†

As you might imagine Sketchup doesn't handle well heavy scenes (full of trees). So all the vegetation is added in Maxwell studio.

                                  http://www.tereschubert.com/art/extra/renderings/pulaski016_m3x.jpg

I have created a decent library in maxwell studio of trees, palms, ground cover, shrubs, and grass. So, once I import my skecthup scene, I simply add the trees and hit render.

As far as post work... I don't limit myself on doing everything before hitting render. for example in the rendering below you can see how I aged the walls a little in photoshop. The aging of the walls could have been done while I was texturing the scene, but that would have involved more time creating custom textures.

                                  http://www.tereschubert.com/art/extra/renderings/postwork.jpg

just curious, leo... you've figured out how to move objects around in studio, easily?

i do something similar, but have the vegetation placed in sketchup where it needs to be in relation to the rest of the model..and export separate mxs files.. so one might be the architecture, and then a few of vegetation..its a pita.. but.. it works, usually..haha... b/c i cant move stuff very well in studio..haha..

where are you buying your plants/trees from anyway... bc they def always look nice.

lol. I don't think there's anyone who can move things around in the Studio ... easily. It comes in handy at times, but that's one clunky, counter intuitive piece of software. And it sure likes to crash! I wish NL gave it a major overhaul, 'cause it could be great!

These renders are rrreally nice. πŸ‘

They use the same shortcut layout than Maya... so, if you know how to move the camera and things in Maya, you shouldn't have a hard time moving things in studio.

In previous releases it was slow to move things around, in fact there was a release where I couldn't use both of my monitors at the same time. But the latest 1.7.1 works pretty good in my pc

As far as tree goes, I use a combination of Vue 5, xfrog, Ivy.... and anything that I can get my hands into πŸ’š
