Edge Style - Profiles

Is there a way to stop 'Profiles' from automatically being activated on new startup templates?
Thx,

yes there is. you can simply create your own template file. save an empty SketchUp file with every setting, as you like it.
you can get rid of this stupid character "Bryce" (don't forget to purge unused components and materials, if you delete him), you can change the units to metric (if you are living in Europe and prefer this measure). if you have the pro version, you can even change the location of your model from boulder, colorado to any other place on this planet.and among other things you can switch off profiles...
then you take this file and copy it into the ..\Google SketchUp 6\Resources\en-US*Templates* folder.
when you've done that you open SketchUp and go to Windows > Preferences. unter Templates you choose your file.
from now on SketchUp will start up with all your favourite settings.

Ehm... Ehm...
Dont forget, Jakob, that Bryce is also a member here at the forums!

well, but Bryce looks really cool in your image!and surely Bryce isn't in every new place you enter.
just imagine, you move into your new home - who is waiting for you? Bryce.
then you decide to invite your wife to a pleasant evening with dinner -Bryce is already sitting on your table - and cinema lateron - it is quite difficult kissing your beloved, when Bryce occubies the seat between you.
and I don't want to speak of the arkward situation, when you retreat to your bedroom...oh, it would be cool if we hat realtime character animation in SketchUp and Bryce would visit the stage from time to time. walking through your in progress model, examining newly created furniture, climbing staris and walls...
(sorry, drifted off entirely... ) -
I guess there's no need for embarrassment - he must have prepared for this. Anyway, they ll need to endure this for a version then rotate
