SMC topic suggestions

Like it says, have any of you clever people got any cunning ideas for subjects?

Ive got a few, but it's surprisingly hard to think of them.

All suggestions welcome.

furniture

just a few, as like you said, it's surprisingly hard.
how about you have the winner of the challenge thinking of the theme for the next challenge?

oh, and just as a question, with these challenges, are we designing something original, or modelling something existing?

Letting the winner pick the next topic sounds like an interesting idea pav, certainly worth thinking about.

As for invention Vs. existing, either is fine.

the winner picks the next theme - great idea!

the task you picked for the first challenge - sailing - will produce a huge variety of different objects. will be fun to see what different objects jump to people's minds when they think of "sailing".

on the other hand it will make it more difficult to judge, who the winner is.
for anothe challenge it may be a good idea to be more definite with the theme, like "create a mobile phone designed for easy use in combat..." (random sample ).

but lets wait, who the winner of the first challenge is going to be. then its up to him/her to decide
