WIP continues: comments please...

Different view, same tech (this thread: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=11811 ), quieter colors...and I'm happy. (Oh yeah, my client architect in CT responded today with the opposite verdict: likes the loosie-goosie WC better...says "the PR's I've seen lately are almost spooky real", so developing both is the plan :`)
How they looking to you guys, thanks?

tomsdesk, this one is even more to my taste than your last one. especially image number one - more subtle. I think you really got there now. glad, your client liked it.

ps: I very much appreciate that you opened up a new thread for this one - I don't like it, if one thread carries on for too many pages. like this we entered a new stage, a new level and can go on from here.
thank you very much for sharing your works. together with all the highly valuable and informative comments these threads are pleasantly educational

Thanks Jakob...now it's: "off we go into the wild blue yonder..." Here's a little better DWC (IMO, still needs some atmospheric perspective work):

Very first exterior with this...just under the wire:

whereas I liked the previous images, I truely love this exterior! amazing job, Tom. would very much like to see more of those
the semitransparent trees, half washed out guardrails at the front, the slightly diffuse glow - really a great composition.
somehow this image with the birds and the old VW-Käfer has an almost gloomy, worn look. don't know if it was intendet - I like it anyway. -
Thanks Jakob, I'm pleased too ('cept the color of the sky isn't quite comfortable with the rest...?). I think the gloomy and worn (perfect description BTW) is my going overboard with the sketchy edge extension.

Tom,
Theyre all good. Personally I find the flying things distracting. Otherwise bellisimo.

Tom,
Really nice image , but IMO the birds steal too much focus. Try exporting them seperately with a much looser/lighter style without the extension lines. The effect is really cool though - I would keep that in the memory bank for future use.

Thanks guys...and point taken about the birds (a bit too Hitchcock maybe :`) Here's a quick fix blend, more later I'm sure:
