Is their an individual in you? doubt it.

I know, Cornel - it was a kind of a joke as this thread has been meandering in so many ways and no-one cares any more to stay on-topic.

My post was in response to a request from Goon:
- "To Craig I would love to hear a story about what it is like to really trust a tire at 170 plus."
Bytor - Praise indeed, big thanks! ...Durante Hapke - he pops, he cracks, righteous. That flavor..bring it!
Slide and catch, she growls, she sings for more...I give more.. she's danger...in her eyes...I'm home.

This thread is making me nostalgic for the 9-11 conspiracy theory posts....

Errr ... will the Spaghetti Monster do?

"Sir"(Kwistenbiebel),
I’m suggesting to know The Bible, not only to read it…,
…and to know God, not only to know about Him!“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
(Psalms 37:4)
or
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.”As you can see, it's different than "9-11 conspiracy"!
..."yes, sir!"

Well, I am not going to base my life upon a single book.
I guess Genesis will reveal a lot of wisdom when getting into it, but so does Sophies World and thousands of other written stories.
Besides, I love the music more than the book, although Phil Collins is kind of a bore.
-
By the way, how many other alter egos does J1mmy currently have on SCF?
-
... not Spaghedeity parody!, Mr. Stinkie...

lol. Don't tell me you read Heidegger. I mean: without someone holding a gun to your head?
And as for Heidegger and wisdom ... Not really. Lots of made-up words and metaphysical babble. And bad writing.

lol. My thoughts exactly.

@Stinkie,
He he, I deleted Heidegger from that post even before you formulated your answer to it.
(The reason for deleting is that I don't know a 'book' from his hand, so no need for me to look more fancy than I really am). -
NOSCE TE IPSUM; GNOTHI SEAUTON
Perhaps he (J1mmy) can count how many "alter egos"…Cornel
-
Knowing yourself is knowing the others. I got that...but I think you didn't spell that second part correctly.
About Genesis: de gustibus et coloribus non disputandum est.

Ok, Ok....it was 'Alter Egi' . Happy?
[EDIT]: or should it be 'Alteri Egi'?

Heh, actually Cornell and Jimmy are separate individuals. They've both been around as long as the sand and I'm still not sure if they come from the light or the dark, or if they came from something before there was either......

Sir, yes sir!
Reading da bible every day....NOT. -
Well, his 'shock and awe' method is most effective when he knows more about his opponent than the opponent knows about him.
Somewhere during this discussion the (info) odds slightly shifted.
Happy to see that no one took advantage of that (abusing personal info on the net can cause a lot of damage). -
Hi Chris,
I jumped w/ J1mmy ‘style’ and I kept all of you ‘tensioned’…
Sorry for some inconveniences!
Now, let’s switch to ‘normal’…!
Jimmy and me , we aren’t opponents... – just 'disputing'!Greetings, Jimmy!

Re: Heidegger, "Building Dwelling Thinking" should be recommended reading for architecture students IMO. I stumbled upon it by accident when I was researching my final year thesis and I've got to say I continue to find it very inspirational. Admittedly he was rather fond of inventing/reinterpreting words (which are often confused further in translation), but never unnecessarily. I ought to say though that I have only read an English translation (which even then has to employ German/Heideggerian words)- perhaps his original German text is much harder to follow.

Good tip, thanks. I and my fellow students were once forced to read "Sein und Zeit". Though thankfully not in German.

Making up words, at least in my opinion, introduces a certain amount of innacuracy. Fine for poetry, but not for philosophy. Certainly not when that innacuracy is exploited as a rhetorical means. Err, I'm with Wittgenstein. (As far as I understand him. )
Back to topic:
No need to apologize to GoD, I'd say. None.
