hello everybody i been crusing the forum all day off an on checking out tutorials and to tell u the truth alot of it is like a different language to me im ok at sketchup but not professionaly or nothin i just mess around with it in my spare time but i seen some of the things u ppl make and im amazed so i downloaded kerkythea and ive tried to export as 3ds and obj but they both come out messed up just vertex's and or leaning sideways O_o what am i doing wrong?
and i know ill be asking alot of noob questions so ima just post them in this thread to keep the rest of the forum pretty clean -

What exactly is messed up in your exports?
Note that 3ds can export from SU either with welded vertices or with UV maps preserved (unfortunately not both).On the other hand, Kerky has its own exporter from SU (SU2KT) which does a pretty good job. You can download it from the Kerky site.

Hi, recon. The obj problem is a flaw with the model; if you import it in any other program and it will appear the same... the only real way to fix this is to just rotate your model .
I'm not sure what you mean about messed up vertex's...
perhaps the model is not smoothed or it is smoothed too much. If this is the case, simply right click the model name and in the smooth tab, select your preferred angle of smoothing.
If you need some extra help with KT, there are a bunch of good tutorials in the tutorial repository.
