Plotting PDF - textures missing
-
I need some drawings in scale and I usely use 'print to PDF' - CutePDF.
Now I have the problem that the textures are missing

Does anyone know what the problem can be ?
Thanks

Well, I don't use CutePDF so don't know about its specs but I have never had any problems with PDFCreator (it can also "print" into different image formats).

Hi Gaieus
Thanks for your input. I just found PDF995, and it seems to do the job

Do know the differences of PDF995 and PDFCreator ? I might give it a try.
Thanks

I've also never had problems using PDF995, works like a charm!

No, prior to this I only used PrimoPDF. There are a bunch of PDF printers out there but some prints an info line (mostly to their pay versions) while others cannot print our special, Hungarian characters like Ε and Ε° so I haven't looked for anything different since I found this. It even allows you to set certain security settings (password protection, copy/print permissions etc.)

Strange that Adobe PDF is slow and is having problems printing textures ?

Also, check that you don't have the "Use high-quality HLR" ticked in the print dialog box. The setting switches printing to a vector-only mode: no textures or shadows. The setting should really have something intelligible printed next to it.

Yes, I know that one
