Just draw an outline of the stand, then use the follow me tool around the pitch and the stadium will be pretty much done.

it is my own stadium, well a friend's proposal, he just gave me the stadium in .dwg files but i have no clue how to start modeling it, it has a kind of cone shape with some structure elements on the sides, i´ll attach some images, i hope they help me explain myself better.
                sorry but my english 😛

edit: remove images... they were big

So far it looks quite OK I think. Did you turn those pillars into components and copied along that way?

                    Gai...

                        Well, better than nothing 😉

Components (when using more instances of the same component) have some advantages over groups:

                        • the geometry is only counted once so the file size is smaller in general
                        • when you make some changes in a component, all instances will change
                        • you can use "dummy components" in a very complex model and only "reload" them with the final ones once you are ready with the model thus being able to handle big models etc.
This is particularly useful if you use many instances of the same geometry (pillars here or even more; seats in a stadium if you really want to model them - but that would most probably kill your computer)

                        Gai...

oh thanks! i've used created components before but here i didn't used because those are all the pillars i'm going to use... if it starts to get heavy i'll change them... thanks for the advice

If you go on youtube and type in stadium and sketchup there's a few simple examples of people making stadiums on there.

Turned out fantastically well. I'm not sure why this pattern is appearing where it does though:

johnsenior1973: thanks! that pattern its just the shadow of the front seats... it is not a pattern or something

James: i'm really pleased with the results... it is my first stadium and i didn't really knew what i was doing at first but i think the result it's great.. and yes, i had that problem with the people... when i was modeling in sketchup they looked great because they faced the camera view... but they didn't do it in artlantis... and i didn't know how to fixed it

dylan: thanks for your coments... here you can see the image big http://gborregof.carbonmade.com/
