Taking the Mickey
-
Scott,
I modeled it in components using the manipulated and resized ball method (as used in my organic modeling thread) for head, torso, hands and shoes, follow me for limbs, offset and JPP for trousers. I never used Subsmooth on this one.
-
Quite impressive, as always.
Have you ever considered teaching SU? I reckon you might be good at it.
-
Gosh,
That's nice modeling.I would never be able to do that.
-
Wow! That's incredible!
I'm probably way out of line here, but...
would it be too much to ask for the model? -
Jon
PM your addy, I will send it your way (note I used high poly spheres so file size may be a tad high)
-
You can now retire. With this type of skill, it's time to teach to the masses
You should seriouly consider writing a book on technique etc. then we can see you on cnbc's "The Big Idea".
Excellent work as usual Solo -

Thanks a lot!

That is so good!
You obviously are a natural flair for art also. Its difficult enough to model, but probably just as hard to get the correct look.
Just over 3hrs, that is impressive.
-
fantastic pete! i'm really impressed of what you can achieve using SU.
-
yeah, this is just really amazing pete..
-
Impressive modelling, solo!
I am really curious to see you do some character modelling using Subsmooth. It seems like the Mickey model would have been a perfect candidate for using the plugin. Will we see some Subsmooth characters soon?
-
Someone who knows sketchyphysics needs to put Mickey's eye's in motion, I can see them rollingt at me

...with plugins like Subsmooth, FFD, JPP, curve offset, weld, etc...
Can someone point out what FFD, JPP stand for, inlcude a link to videos of the tool in use?
I have googled but don't want to be led in the wrong direction. What do those stand for, and what is their function? I have looked breifly at
http://www.smustard.com

When it comes to this type of modeling, either you've got it
or you haven't .... and Pete's got it -

I am seeking a rb,with this function:
offset not co-planar curve.
thank you! -
It's maybe that Tools On Surface - v1.2 (with Contour Editor) by Fredo6
A tutorial specifically dedicated to the OffsetOnSurface tool, in English inside -
