I was PM'd regarding the Mickey Mouse model by a few users requesting to understand my technique, unfortunately I never documented the steps so I decided to make another quick model and take a few screen grabs as I go along.
If there is an interest then I will in the near future try a video tutorial (no promises)

      Wonderful ๐Ÿ˜„
...And I see Zbrush comes in handy for the uv-mapping.
Too bad Sketchups texturing tools are waaaaay to limited.
Somehow I am hoping that a texturing plugin would be Whaats next undertaking...

By the way, it's a nice tut, but I am still pretty sure I would never be able to do that...it needs a special talent so it seems...lucky boy !

      Thanks for sharing.

So - you've used Zbrush for texturing this Froggy..??

Thanks for sharing the steps..!! ๐Ÿ‘

No, I used Vue for texturing.

I only use z-brush for complexed organic shapes that are virtually impossible in SU (only if totally neccessary as the polygon import is horrendous)

                Pete,

Very helpful in understanding a bit more about how you create your wonders... but a video tutorial... now that would really illuminate. ๐Ÿ˜„

PS I'm in agreement with kwist re talent

                              their website is http://www.e-onsoftware.com/

but you could try the new UV mapper for SU by Whaat - available in the ruby forum.
