      Hi everyone,

I am trying out SketchUp for some work related to cell imaging (image processing and analysis). What I would like to do is be able to generate a shape that gets brighter as it gets taller - a gradient fill like you would get with USGS DEM terrain maps. Is there a style or some method of generating that from objects created in SketchUp? According to the user's guide you can set a gradient style for images imported from DEM files so I figure there has to be a way to do it normally (doesn't there).

Also, if you have a nice mesh with detailed faces, you can use Didier's aint_altitude_faces.rb to paint it gradiently. Scroll down the page to find it here. There is also a video tutorial about how to use it here.
