    • RE: [Plugin] ComponentReporter++ v1.2

      Hi TIG - Love the plugin! I just recently stumbled on this page and it has been super useful tracking my work! I was wondering if you had the time to help me make a slight tweak? Basically, I want to tidy up the parentage report to display nested components in a more intuitive way similar to the sketchup outliner?. Hopefully the attached image makes sense: It shows only the counts of of instances, and also puts the them to the right of its parent component. This way, I can visually track the hierarchy.

      If you have the time, I'd really appreciate the help given that I am not versed in ruby.

      Thank you very much!

    • Autotrace CAD Import to generate faces?

      Hello,

      Being my first post I'll start by saying that I have been a lurker of the forum for a quite some time now. Sketchucation is an excellent resource! I currently in the process of using the CAD drawings of an existing building in order to build a detailed 3D model and illustrate some of of the interior changes proposed. I am familiar with prepping and importing CAD drawings into Sketchup but often find myself tracing over existing lines to generate the needed faces to push/pull.

      Is there a plugin that takes an imported CAD drawing and traces over all the lines in order to generate faces? I have googled and searched this forum and found nothing so far. Maybe I am phrasing it the wrong way because I can't be the only person who has wondered about this.
