Today i want to show you this little buildung. Schrankenposten Wittenberge_13f.jpg
Traveling in Brandenburg, a state in the eastern part of germany, i found this buildung, in the city of Wittenberge, half way between Hamburg and Berlin. The buildung is standing near a former railway level crossing. The barrier hast to be closed manually by a gate keeper. The arrivinng train was signalled by bell signals. This type of building was quiite common on german railways in former days. This house was restored in 2014 and is now protected as a historic monument.

I took some photos oft the original. At home i counted the bricks. The common brick in that time was the „Reichsformat“ having this messaments 25 cm x 12 cm x 6,5 cm. With this informations i could easily create the modell. I didn‘ t use a brick texture. For a 3d effect every brick is drawn by hand (copy an paste). The gap between the bricks was pushed back with the push pull tool. I took this effort, to get a printable modell with visible brickwork.

The render was done with simlab Composer 7 (demo).

• Small railway shunting yard building

Hello,
i would like to show you a small railway building. I can't compete with John's alias tadema's railway Building. My building is a yard crew's waiting room. The original was located in Iserlohn, a small city in Germany. You can find a copy of the original plan from 1910 here: http://dfg-viewer.de/show/?tx_dlf[id]=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.landesarchiv-nrw.de%2Fdigitalisate%2FAbt_Rheinland%2FBR_1200%2F~022%2F02274%2Fmets.xml
The Rendering was done with kerkythea.

• German railroad related items

Hi,
here my first entry. The model repesents a switch stand used by german railroads. I draw the model from original drawings of 1912. I used Kerkythea for rendering.
