How long did it take to model those sweeties?

Speederbike
Made this today in SketchUp and thought that it'd be cool to have it in Gta San Andreas.. Used the S&S-tool to smooth it a little and got the textures from cgtextures.com .

RE: Silly Season....
WΓΆw, that looks great! I really like the shape of the characters, they fit in for 100%. The whole thing is just comic with those pinguΓ―ns, presents and christmasgnomes shattered around the area.. Got a wallpaper at 1280x1024 for me ?

Logo
Hi, I needed a logo so I created this with SketchUp (click for expansion):
My first result was this:
I really like the sketchy style because it fits the model, but by some reason several edges aren't displayed. Any solvations for that?

RE: Peepser
Got some simple textures..
And ingame, I don't know if you can call it renders but they actually are..
-
RE: Peepser
Well, my PC isn't that fast and is often quite slow. The model is a modification for the game Gta: San Andreas which doesn't support very highpoly models (such as 100k). Also, when models ingame are very highpoly, some people with shitty computers won't be able to have the models ingame because their computers can't handle it.

Peepser
Just one of the things I've been doing today. Started lowpoly and finished the basic model in an hour. After that I added the interior and exhausts. At the end I gave everything a s&s with iteration 1. It's got around 8500 poly's now, going to texture it tomorrow.

RE: Some objects..
Yup, everything from scratch. Textures from cgtextures.com and just google and editted them with Paint Shop Pro.

RE: Amancio Williams: House over stream
Wow, that render looks awesome! The environment such as plants and trees looks great, almost like a photo. The building itself looks like it's made of paper though, but that's my opinion. The shadow inside the building on the wall on the last render is too vague too, but again that's my opinion.

Some objects..
Just some objects I modeled and textured.. There are still texturemaps to be fixed etc.

Hi,
Made this this morning, total was around three hours of work. I made a little slideshow to show you guys how I made it, with help of the Subdivide&Smooth plugin.
Well?

RE: Eddie Egghead
Thanks I still got the striping-textures-problem. Solo already noted the UV-mapping tool by Whaat, but thatone isn't meant for models like this, although it's a great tool . Is there any better tool which can be used for texturing?
-
Eddie Egghead
Hi, this is my first attempt to character-modeling with Sketchup and the Subdivide&Smooth plug-in (I had to wait to buy it until my father had time to do it, I haven't got a creditcard
Eddie Egghead I used this weird craphead as base for the texture. I just got the eyes from Google :dozing: .

RE: Seadoo
Wow, that is SOO nice! I would love to see that model ingame in San Andreas, and many other people would too. If you would like that, could you send me the model please? You get the 100% credits etc. blabla I'm only converting it . I can understand it if you say "No", because it's made for a contest and it's your model so it's your decision what to do with it.
Again, very nice model, nice render.. All nice! Omg..

RE: Zapper
I don't know, but the model has little over 20k poly's, and I'm using textures which have a quite high resolution; 800x600, 1024x780 etc.
