Eddie Egghead

Hi, this is my first attempt to character-modeling with Sketchup and the Subdivide&Smooth plug-in (I had to wait to buy it until my father had time to do it, I haven't got a creditcard
Eddie Egghead I used this weird craphead as base for the texture. I just got the eyes from Google :dozing: .

That's a cool character Stijn. It reminds me of the times when I experienced the pleasure (torture is more accurate) of riding the centrifuge during my years of astronaut training.

Thanks I still got the striping-textures-problem. Solo already noted the UV-mapping tool by Whaat, but thatone isn't meant for models like this, although it's a great tool . Is there any better tool which can be used for texturing?
-
Not really, SUs texturing options are pretty bad really.
Nice model btw. I could never do organic stuff.

Nice organic model!! (of zal ik gewoon nederlands praten... )
I also like organic modeling, its very cool! just playing with geometry edges and surfaces...
The texture is nice, but SU isnt good at texturing...There it should need an upgrade...
(im going to buy the plugin too, when my parents got time... ) -
Nice Character you've got there Stijn, I'm still amazed SketchUp is able to do this sort of thing.
And Ross, did you say

? Were you an Astronaut? -
Great model and welcome on the forum.
...It reminds me of the time I was a SWAT team member fighting VC and Rommel. Ah...those days.

Ah Yes, I remember that too. But you were more than just a SWAT member. You were our fearless leader.
Anyways... Stijn (Puma) please post some more characters! They are great fun and bring the memories flooding back. (My memory just hasn't been the same since my bungie jumping accident a few years back).
