RE: Work completed
Thanks for comments, Sekta.
About the people, i discussed some of this with my client, but the decision was not to put human figures in the scene.
I usually use them, for the reason you said: To give an idea of the right proportion.ciao

Really great job!
Where is this work located?
Hi broomstick, thanks for comments!
The building will be built on the southern outskirts of Milan, for now the work had not yet started.
I think they should start in a couple of months at most.Ivan

RE: Work completed
Hi, thanks for comments.
@mitcorb: in fact there are about 12 apartments. The gardens are owned apartments on the ground floor. Even i do not like this solution, but the customer asked just that. And i must say that unfortunately is a type widely used and very popular here, in my part.
@DVERGER: about the hedges, it is very simple: i created the boxes, and applied the texture. Then, later, i worked in the picture with Photoshop clone-stamp leaf-shaped.
Ciao

Work completed
Hi,
below some pictures of the work i had started a few weeks back, and i had already posted a couple of pictures (wip) here on the forum.
Now it's completed, as well as the customer was satisfied.
All images are made with Sketchup + Render[in] + Photoshop.
Comments and critics are welcome

RE: Some interior - IKEA style
Thanks, my friend.
I hope to show you soon my first renders with VRay! -
RE: Some interior - IKEA style
Again congratulations, you're my idol!(Just kidding)
Take back seriously, i love that satin surface of the wooden top, is simply fantastic.Let me ask you some information because, as you know, I'm going to start working with VRay.
How long did it take to render each image? (I'm not talking about the time taken for the adjustments, the preparation and post production: i mean only rendering time)
What is the size each original image?
what kind of hardware you use?
Thank you very much

RE: Twilight render
Beautiful pictures!
Especially the last two. Very good lighting and textures, most of all is very beautiful composition and shot (in addition to the model of course).
It would be nice photos even if they were made with a real camera.Since I'm considering a change in the rendering engine, I want to ask you some technical information:
How long it took every image for rendering?
What is the size of the original image?
And what hardware you used? Thanks in advance and congratulations again

WOW!
These images are really stunning. Very good, congratulations!
I noticed that V-Ray can produce image quality truly superior, should i decide to learn it.
A stupid question: How long did it take you to learn to use in this way V-Ray?
naka
IvanHmmm... something about 1 Year... but I learn all myself... if you want to start you must download a manual from asgvis and watch all clips on youtube from andyciuala... andyciuala have the best tutorials for v-ray and sketchup...
Thanks a lot for the information, i went now to see the video on youtube, they seem really well done.
See you soon

Yeah, really great works!
I especially love the way you use the light, like an expert still life photographer.ivan

RE: INTERIOR
Very nice render, itβs clear that you are completely master of this great engine (V-Ray).
But, since we're talking about an image that is close to perfection, i would like to expose some constructive criticism:
The window on the left, in my opinion should be brighter, like the one that sees in the mirror.
So even the black shiny sphere on the window sill, should have a much light and brighter reflection (being in front of the window). Finally (and this is perhaps the most important point), in my opinion there is something that does not return correctly with the lighting:
It seems that the main light source comes from above instead of directly from the windows and lamps.
Just look at the shadows under the cushions, under the picture frames and under the window sill.
They are all shades of light coming directly from above, as if the ceiling had a light source stronger than those visible in the scene (this becomes very obvious lightening the image with photoshop).
But if so, the higher parts of the walls should be brighter than that.
In addition, the table (taking the light from the window), should throw its shadow on the pillow to the right of the image. but this does not happen!Perhaps this depends on your own research in this picture to illuminate the scene with different light sources.
It may be that you used a fill light, but you forgot to eliminate shadows.Or maybe it's me that i did not understand much.
However this is just my opinion, and all in all i think that the image in question is really very impressive, although there are some points that i believe must be resolved, to obtain a realistic and proper lighting of the scene.

RE: Subsea ROV Render
Great model.
I like the performance of plastic and metal materials, as satin and matte.
I find that you have chosen a direction of light very evocative, almost against the side of the model. beautiful reflection on the "5" metal.Ivan

RE: Bulding - Sketchup + Render[in]
@ ecofeco: Thanks for the suggestion, i will take it!
@ Ecuadorian: thank you very much!
The time is about 25 minutes to render an image of 4000x2500 pixels (yes, the original is much bigger!) with an iMac i7 2,93 Ghz, 12GB Ram (yes, he, the last monster mom Apple!)
But even with the other iMac i have, the less powerful (3.06 Ghz core2 - 4Gb Ram) the time is not much longer.
Render[in] is an engine very fast, the fastest among those that i experienced.ivan
