    • The jigsaw puzzle of the hinges with the hinge

I need help to solve the problem I have with this cabinet hinge:

It is a hinge that can not get going from state 1 to state 2 (see pictures) to close it.

The hinge cup can turn, as shown in the attached file executing the animation, or that the two pieces attached to the cup turn to get at state 2, setting the cup in ignore state, but I can not get them to do at the same time.

This model's made with Sketchup 8 and SketchyPhysics 3.5.6.

I would greatly appreciate your help because I have long been stuck with this problem and can not find the way to solve it.

      Cordial greetings.

    • A spring for a spring?

      Hello everyone:

After reviewing the threads and not find an answer, I pose my dilemma.

I'm trying to simulate the behavior of the spring shown in the illustrations, in which I put the initial and final state, with maximum compression (about twenty degrees).

To achieve this, one of the moving parts (Partes móviles in picture one) will receive the pressure and the other -spiral- must rotate accordingly to this pressure (at least as I understand it). The part marked as fixed (Parte fija, in picture one) is backed against a stop and does not move.

Well, I can not simulate it without "breaking" the piece.

I would appreciate very much any suggestions or recommendations to make it work.

      Thanks in advance.

      Cordial greetings.
