I think you can improve the spot lights material on the ceiling, and the IES effect too with this one.

Here is a new composition, I must say that because I have just modeled the walls and ceilings... Furnitures and decorations are from my library in 3ds...
This Living room remind me the first flat that I rent in Vietnam 6 year ago... Trying every evening to get a western mood at home...

This time not using neat image, just ACDSEE pro for contrast and text...Comments are welcome...

I forgot to show where the render is coming from, so here is the SU view...

But, to be really honest, when people use 3dsmax to "render" a scene make by SU, how can we be sure that decorations items or furniture have not been add in 3dsmax... It is the same problem with Théa render or kerkythea or in general to the none integrate render engine...
It is my opinion, I like pure SU scene... Sorry if I use your topic to explain my concern...

So, Here is an updated image, I have changed the columns by one model found in the warehouse, also add some lights on the ceilings.

Hi all,

I found this 3ds file on the web, and I have decided to render it today.
As the file was too heavy for SU, I opened it with wings 3d to save one by one every furniture, decor etc... Once this done ( 3 hours later...), I have imported them into SU (what a mess...again...)
I have built the walls some parts of the ceilings, some floors, add some decor, etc...
And after mapping, texture, lighting (one hours), here is the result, 6 hours at preset 09... Hope you like it... The final file is about 92 mega.
