Here is the setting for the Rug...

The model and furniture are a 3ds file that I found on the web...
After imported it into SU, It was a bloody mess...Everything was detached, It tooks me a couple of hours to put everything in order...
Material sitting, lighting, was a real pleasure, but to save the file it takes 10 minutes..
I used the fur plugin for the rug, and then it increase the size of the file at 110 meg...
To save the file after that, 15 minutes...and to start the render, 10minutes...

I have purged the file, and used the cleanup plugin too, but still a very heavy file difficult to manage.

I use XP pro sp2 32bit, Quad processor, nvidia Ge force 8500 gt and all drivers are updated.
I use 3d max without any problems, and recently I have tried Rhino 3d evaluation version without problems.

I think that some wonderful plugin like The fur one has exceeded the power of SU, such a pity...

Anyway, Here is a Living rendered with Twilight, a bit 70's mood, hope you like it...

Quick?? Few hours ?? It could take me few days to model this wonderful house, Congrats...

The last images are really nice, Congrats. About the design, It is much better than what I have seen in Luton (After two years there)...OMG!!! terrible architect...
In France It's sometime terrible too, but looks more like "push-pull boxes"...

Your renders images are much better than the images from the company website, i would say that there is more life in your renders.
you can try this Visopt setting that I use for exterior shot, wish you all the best...
