RE: Stalking Parasite
Sweet render Oli - I hope the architecture trade is not boring you too much!!! You would have loads of time to do more of this type of modelling if you were over here - the trade is dead and alot of my architecture friends have lost their jobs recently - scary times - even scarier than your big insect!!!

RE: [WIP] Interiors -will be my first PR renderings
Sepo - I'm Irish as you know and fairly clued up on transatlantic speak but you've lost me!!!
Tinnane - great development of your renders - i've been following it as I'm a student of this too.

RE: My Images of the day
Hi Paul
Good to see your work again. Loved the video and the FR Ted link brought back a load of good memories - classic. It must have taken you hours to model the church but It is amazing!! Well done our lad!!

RE: Point and Shoot
As always superb renders sepo and post processing
I have to try and hold back my desire to learn every aspect of this rendering process and take small steps each time I model but I cant wait to be able to try this type of manipulation on some of my models.
The houses you show here remind me alot of the Georgian houses in Dublin - some of them are that run down looking aswell.

RE: Internal Kitchen Render - Twilight Easy Low+
Hey Guys
This is taking for ages in the low+ setting - ray tracing is only at 24% after and hour - should this take this long at such a low setting?

RE: Internal Kitchen Render - Twilight Easy Low+
Thanks earthmover -
I had just about given up when I noticed a tab (From scene) which I hadnt touched before. I was able to upload an Ies file and am looking forward to seeing what comes out - I have set it for Easy Low + just to see what effects have been generated by the changes made then I will cook it over night on Interiors 09.

RE: Internal Kitchen Render - Twilight Easy Low+
Thanks for the comments guys
I tried a few changes as per your suggestions - can't get IES to load - when I go into it to load the ones leminilab suggested it still greys out and I cant load any to try them.
System crashed a couple of times on me as well as I dont have a great processor for the bigger models and it is struggling big time with it. I have another in the oven as we speak and I will post the results when its finished. Anyone any tips on this IES problem?

RE: Internal Kitchen Render - Twilight Easy Low+
Cheers Guys, thanks for the comments so far.
How far away should the lights be from the ceiling ?
All the metallic surfaces are set to Twilight template settings - they are stainless steel appliances but I cant get the finish I am after - I didnt see them in the library settings either!
When you say light components, do you mean that I should model a light fixture and add to the model?
I see the IES tab on the light editor but it is greyed out - I do not have any IES settings to work from - how do I generate them?
Again - I am stuck for materials - where can I get these? -
Internal Kitchen Render - Twilight Easy Low+
Hi Guys
Here goes with my first attempt at a PR render of a fairly big job I'm pitching for - I used the omni lights as can be seen and I tried using an image of my own for the background hoping to see it through the windows but it just didnt come off - as you can see - any guidance on what I should be doing there - I know I could add alot of counter clutter but am more interested in the kitchen units at the minute - a heads up on entourage for interiors would be good too!!
Please comment and criticise.

RE: Render this: SSS
This is my last attempt at this - The SSS material in the twilght library didnt render well at all as the cube material turned out very flat. This one came out very interesting with the HDRi image really affecting it. I'm learning alot using this tutorial
-
RE: Render this: SSS
When I saw some of the images I just had a crack at it - couldnt believe it when it came out and it wsnt black - where do you guys get all the fabulous materials and how do you store them (what format)
-
RE: Render this: SSS
I'm bent over ready for an arse kicking!!!! Twilight with on an easy medium.

RE: Old Priory, Wellingborough
Richard
Here in Ireland we have a colour called "Fermanagh White" - it is the hue taken from the skin of people from that region of Ireland as they never see the sun - think milk and then add a bit of grey to it - lovely!!!!

RE: My Works-WIP-
