    • RE: Most impressive SketchUp modelling

      I have been coming to this site for 3 years now and really never got into the "writing on a forum" untill this last year after loosing my job and searching for work in a town that was proposed dead in residential design.

      This is a shot of the last home I designed in Sketchup, Is it worthy of this thread, I will let you figure that out. The one thing tht I will comment on is....

      1. This is all Sketchup - from the ground up
      2. No script or plugins were used, everything is designed and drawn from Sketchup 8.
      3. landscape was added from 3dWarehouse
      4. The output is directly from Sketchup - No rendering, No Photoshop

    • RE: LumenRT Microsoft C++ Visual Runtime Error - PLEASE HELP!!!

      Patrick,

      I have PMed you, downloaded your model and it hangs up on my machine also. There is something in the model that is hanging up LumenRT. The model is also very large, over 100 megs, sketchup gets buggy over 100 megs so you might remove something to reduce the space.

    • RE: Bakescape video tutorials online

      I downloaded the Ultimate Trial and have been playing around with this for the last couple of days on my fre time, The Export to EXE does not work? Am I missing something?

      I like the software, it seems to be everything Lumenrt is with the addition of allot of setting I wish E-on software had. I love the indirect lighting and the way the software seems to work, its easy.

    • RE: How do you render flythroughs and object animations?

      @andybot said:

      Thanks for this info, this is helpful to see the finished result. There are two reasons why this is not what I am looking for as far as rendering. One - this is not really rendered, it's just at game quality. See how sharp the shadows are, how would a semi-enclosed or enclosed area look? Also, the transparency mapping is very poor. Two - I see you are just using SU camera directly - and I am trying to find solutions that have much more control over camera keyframing as well as including object animation. I'd like to know if it supports at least keyframe animation or camera keymaker for example.

      I dont know if it matters or not, but again this was my first animation with this product, the settings were on the review mode witht he lowest settings (under 1 min processing) I am sure the other 4 modes from 5 to 1 hour will produce better results.

      I am sold just on the time process to produce something quick to get into the clients hand for review. If I am really doing post production and real animation I will switch over to 3DS Max design.
