There was a PC game I played years back, 1986-88 or so called Obsidian. You were on a distant planet in a mining vehicle and had to drill in specific spots etc...

When I first tried SketchUp I was reminded of this game. The graphics were simple shaded cubes, rectangles and pyramids. I loved this game and if I look hard enough at my father's house I bet I could find my notes on exactly where to drill.

Why this memory is surfacing now? Maybe it was thanks to Justin in this thread. Maybe it is because I was watering the plants at my dad's house this afternoon as he is away. ❓

Did anybody here ever play this game? Searching the internet does me no good, do so and you will see.

      Ahhh memories 🤓
