Old Game

There was a PC game I played years back, 1986-88 or so called Obsidian. You were on a distant planet in a mining vehicle and had to drill in specific spots etc...
When I first tried SketchUp I was reminded of this game. The graphics were simple shaded cubes, rectangles and pyramids. I loved this game and if I look hard enough at my father's house I bet I could find my notes on exactly where to drill.
Why this memory is surfacing now? Maybe it was thanks to Justin in this thread. Maybe it is because I was watering the plants at my dad's house this afternoon as he is away.
Did anybody here ever play this game? Searching the internet does me no good, do so and you will see.
