That looks great. If image used for the outside was brighter it would be perfect. Looks as if it has tinted windows.

          Very nice work.

That is really a great render. Your metal on the couch was the first thing I looked at. The flooring was the second - both are very convincing. Especially the floor in the kitchen/dining. The glass window is really good too. For the most part, the shadows are very convincing and the walls/brightness is very good. I don't love the outside, but it does work. Really cool especially for Indigo. I tried it a couple of times, but never spent any time really on it. It looked like I would have to do lots of learning to get results. I really like that on a multicore machine, you can set up 2 threads and basically use all or most of the HP of your computer and basically lock it up to other processes.

how long did this render take and what speed of machine are you running?
How do you feel this compares to your work with other programs? (for the record - I really like it)
Did you find the material stuff cumbersome, or was it an initial learning curve, and now you are pretty fast and comfy (Some of the materials are so convincing)

Well, I guess you figured out I'm impressed. Thanks for posting.

                comp config is like this:
                Dell - xeon, ~3.14 Ghz, 2GB RAM
I am quite happy with indigo inspite of its long render times. This one 'baked' for almost 60 hours. But I did it over 4 nights. That is one of the features I like about indigo that you can stop a render and later restart where you left!

The image outside is the real view from this unit, taken from a cherry picker at the 4th level! I could have adjusted its contrast/brightness/gamma.

Whaat, the skindigo guy is really cranking out updates day after day with more and more material presets. I agree some are quite convincing. Initially it was a slight learning curve for me.

Thanks for your comments everyone! More images are in the oven and should be ready by Monday!

Yeah, I'm keeping an eye on Indigo, updates look promising. I might be getting an old Dell Precision Workstation 530 MT that I'll use as a spare machine to solely do renders.

It only has one Xeon CPU (1.7 GHz) ATM, space for another, however I think it'll be quite difficult to source a CPU to fill the second ATM, not to mention some RDRAM (Rambus rimms) as it only has 512MB.

Save the Earth, it's the only planet with chocolate.
