Multi-layers wall tool is back !
-
Hi all,
I've completely re-coded an old script (2004) that lets you draw walls made of up to 4 different layers/Materials.
Script options and commands:- list, create, delete save, load, wall styles, wether within the SKP or in external files for later use,
- draw a wall segment,
- draw walls from connected lines/curves/arcs,
- draw a wall from a face with/without openings,
- create openings in walls.
It's here:

thx for the continued effort Didier!

Thanks for the update Didier. However, the wall heights worked for a few times and now they all have zero height. What might I be doing wrong. Where are the wall types kept (maybe I need to delete preferences???).

Didier, Your tireless efforts are very much appreciated. Thank you. And thanks for enlarging the "date" column on your web site.

Didier,
You should be commended for not only a well thought out script, but EXCELLENT instructions in your PDFs.
I wish this was done more for other scripts.
Thanks for your attention to detail.

See attachment please.
No matter what wall justification I use, resulting wall seems to be offset from line when using "Lines to wall".Example using a simple, 2-Layer wall (one 12" and the other 1" thick)

Hi John,
amazing...

I used your style in your file and... it didn't work as expected (because of the materials that have different names in french).
Is the error reproductible ? Is this happening in every model ?Hi seasdes,
Wall style are kept within the SKP file as model attributes (so you cannot "see" them anywhere)

Didier, did you try creating a new style using the English Version using your material names, then doing the "Line to wall" routine. Perhaps there's difference between the French and English scripts?
I get same offset result in all models.

It is reproducable in all files and new ones and after rebboting the PC. Maybe there is a clash with another Plugin. I also use your plugin 'Justified Wall Segment Group'(JWSG) and find it extremely useful for every project. I have tried removing JWSG plugin but there is no change in behaviourWalter

Hi Didier
I deleted all of the plugins except the Multi-Layers Wall Tool. My problem still exists.Walter

Hi all,
Wall justification bug fixed (same link to download new release).
2PI/3 was muddled up with 3PI/4
Sorry for the inconvenience. -
Didier, is the updated version (2) the one currently on the server?
Here is my latest result after re-downloading. Looks like it still has problems.
-
Ok Ok, sorry again, it has been fixed (same link at the depository).
Pfff...

I wisk I knew why when testing before releasing, it works, and when someone else uses it it doesn't...
