Your modeling... Is the most realistic I have ever seen... Your texturing is beautiful, and I am all for those cabinet handles. Good Job!

...probably, somebody still do not clearly understand how it works... giving the post info of how I do the textures to SHOES. The same way I did Skies ,ski boots and wheels that I showed earlier ( I gave the material to GAI and they are going to be restored soon). This is probably the learning video of how to work in PHOTOSHOP...
http://www.rapidshare.ru/518868do you happen to still have this video??

I still owe Urgen with this I am afraid. The very problem was that it was his topic that somehow got lost during the forum transfer back in 2007 and Urgen indeed gave me the zipped archive but then I had a HD crash without any backup and I lost it.
I really feel so ashamed because it was very good stuff but I am sorry I cannot help now (unless Urgen still has that stuff). -
...no problem,
....GAI, don,t worryski.rar
...edit ski
edit ski.rar
.... but this is SU-5... In SU-6 and SU-7 you should paste textures here...

Urgen, you are a true master of texturing with these limited tools SU offers us!

If it's all done in SketchUp you really should make a tutorial for the rest of us.
-
These are the best of the best of the best models i ever saw done on Sketchup!!
Thumbs up...amazing work man....
-
Just last night I was wondering what happened to you...Glad to see you stil around..
-
...well. first of all, thank you for visiting my topic and such pleasant feedback on the components. Unfortunately, my work keeps me quite busy doing things that are not related to sketchup so that I cannot be online often and answer soon, because my English is not that advanced (my daughter types for me ).
I have got quite a few interesting ideas, which I will share with you as soon as I have some free tine.Pixero, regarding the tutorial, I will try to make it. It is not entirely sketchup, rather sketchup and PHOTOSHOP work we are talking about. Latest SKETCHUP (7) gives a great opportunity to create components easier than before. If you look through the topic where the components of boots are, you can see the core principle of how it is done.
I did not forget about the forum and you!
Thank you! -
you'r so cool..love your work.. -
hi urgen, great models. you say: We need:
1 the model (pre-made without textures),
2 photo of high quality (front, left or right),
and finally, besides SKETCHUP knowledge, you have to be skilled in PHOTOSHOP.
Without it, I am convinced, it is almost impossible to create a good model...maybe you could show us a small tut of how you work flow is? you start with a texture and then make a model?
looking forward to it
another way to combine textures and models is using an uvmapper, the free 3d blender has a very good one build in. -
wow...today is my day...
thanks for sharing these amazing models -
How do you texture all these models?!?!? they look so awesome, especially when SU doesnt have a UVmapping capability
-
I second this. How do you texture these? AMAZING!
