Plants - 3D - 2D?

New to the group - usually post questions in the Google Beginner section

I have a large library of Trees/Shrubs and general Landscape plants - these are in a transparent PNG format with approx 300dpiI noticed that smustard you can use thier plugin to make a 2D plant images fron the PNG format - does anyone have experience with this process - is there a 3D plant maker using the PNG file as a template
I have tried PlantStudio at
http://www.kurtz-fernhout.com to make 3D plant images - but am unsatified with the qualityany info appreciated

Can the mods close this thread - I will continue experimenting with the smustard image processing script and post any sucessfull results soon
