Is there a way of setting different functions to different buttons on your mouse. Currently the middle mouse button orbits, along with the 2 side buttons, Obviously there's no point having 3 orbit buttons on your mouse when one could be used for pan and one for zoom extents for instance. Is this possible?

      Many thanks in advance.

        Hi j!
This depends on what mouse you use. if you have a logitech for example, you may use the setpoint software for adjusting the hotkeys. my mx-rev has beside the left-, right- and middle-click, 8(!) hotkeys applied, which make me really fast 😄...

          Hi

If you can let us know the exact mouse you have we could answer you better.
A lot of the mouse software has an option to assign a certain button to a keystroke for different programs.
For example my mouse has the thumb buttons (back and forward default) set in SU to be Shift and CTRL.

A lot depends on the software used for the mouse and the features it has available, but usually I have found most are fully customizable.

            Thanks Dylon,

Turned out my mouse driver was not installed on my new computer. Wasn't sure if it was in the program itself at first but thanks for the prompts. Works very well now.
