Hi guys
Cant the screen background be a different colour?

What screen background? SU window?
If you go to styles > in model (choose the style you want to change) > edit > background settings (one of the little images on top of the tab).
There you can change the ground and the sk colours as well as the general background colour (if you do not use ground and sky) etc.

thanks, i tried to change the default..not the in model one

If you want a certain special set to be your default, do as I told above and save the file in the Templates folder of your SU app. with a custom name (actually you can have as many changes in everything as you want).
Then go to window > preferences > Templates tab and select your newly created file.
The next time you start su, that will be your "default".
