SU crashes on importing a simple but large CAD file

I am wondering if there is some sort of limit as far as how spatially large file SU can deal with, or is this crashing normal for a file that is approximatley 100km wide, albeit very simple (only 100 lines or so).

Well, I'm not sure about the reason but SU seems to handle really big models weirdly.

It is not really about your problem but indicates that there is some problem with "physical" size. -
share the love... wheres the file...
I've modeled millions of miles wide... so scale should not be the issue. you may not be "seeing" you imported file.
