It is mildly interesting to note that the term "flatware" refers specifically to forks, knives, and spoons--as part of a table place setting--mainly in the United States. It is my understanding that this same term denotes dinnerware items like plates and saucers in Britain. Further, it seems that the usual term for forks, knives, and spoons in Britain is "cutlery," which in the United States has the usual connotation of edged implements like carving and paring knives.

And you can imagine us, Gully, "non-native-speakers", forced to learn all these things / differences etc. when learning English. And this is just writtenEnglish!
Craig, I'd really stick to Gidon's version (I mean to what he posted...)
-
Craig!! You crack me up!!
-
Gai,
If you'd really like to learn the differences between US and UK English (and become really confused), see

HAA Haa! I was a little bored so I broke out Photoshop for some fun. My wife kept asking me what I was laughing about! Gotta have fun...no one will do it for you!
Cheers,
- CraigD
P.S. And go eat a sandwich or something! You're too skinny!

Thanks so much for the boots. I tried boning one in Poser, comforming it to a 3D Universe cartoon figure and animating a walk.
-
Diana,
That's "kicking ass...!"
p.s. I saw you join today (also peeping about hidden) and you're already thiskind of active!
Good news - welcome (and keep funning with all these guys here) -
That is really cool diana. Welcome.
Any chance for an avatar?
-
Thanks y'all for the welcome. I've been lurking here as a non-member since the talk of moving the SketchUp Pro forums lead me to this alternative site. I'm a SU Pro 5 & 6 user, first licensed SU 3.1, then 4 and so on. I posted as Diana Todd on the @last forum for some time, then as "diana" after I couldn't log in anymore with my old password. I don't post regularly, lurk and read more often, but sometimes I get a wild hair and get chatty.
I'll look for a suitable avatar image or make something.
-
Just get chatty any time you wish...
-
diana, is that really you? You sure have a round head
Like it.
-
Eric, please, don't call'er big-headed!
ps. I moderated your post in order that it "seems like" not being so offensive...
-
I thought I said round
-
Whatever Eric...
(Diana - we are just teasing each other, not you...)

Thanks. I put my head on a diet, it was getting a little rotund. That diet worked really fast!
-
LOL, maybe you should give us some tips in the SketchUp Fit Club.
-
Ok, I found an OLD photo I like. My best are those with my tongue out or I'm snoring. Add twenty years and even more pounds, a lot less hair that's almost all grey now and it looks just like me. <cough> I'm a lifetime member of the fat club so no diet tips from me.
